Björk - Volta

Ahh, at least a wonderful new addition to my Björk discs. I guess Björk is even more than other musical artists an extremously polarizing character, i.e. either you like her or you don't. Well I do like her, her style, her skills and her alienating, outer space mystical tones and rhythms. I especially loved Antony Hegarty (from Antony and the Johnsons, he had previously co-worked with CocoRosie on their second album) joining her vibrating songs, a duet that feels like honey dissolving in warm milk. I hope I'll have the chance of seeing her life at some point, that would be a highlight for sure! I prefer Volta over Medulla, somehow it feels more complete, more solid and profound. I you're a fan of her works, don't miss this gem, if not, maybe you can have a quick look at some of the albums greatest, such as Dull Flame of Desire or Innocence...
